IGNORANCE IS BLISS

The focus of “Ignorance is Bliss” is to magnify the concept of contrast, in order to present two world perspectives, or realities, that are often times intentionally kept separated. The idea is simple, create a body of work through collage, using two drastically contrasting sources. One is from the travel magazines Mucho Viaje. The second is from the World Press Photos traveling exhibition. The images from Mucho Viaje commonly present white, wealthy, occidental people traveling the world in bliss. Meanwhile, World Press Photos often depict misery suffered by people of developing countries.
